NEW RACE TECH FORK TOOLS

“New Race Tech fork tools allow for easier service on KTM WP 48 mm dual chamber forks on the 2007 SX models,” stated spokesperson Erik Hilton. The Fork Cap Wrench tool (TFCW 50H) is constructed of heavy-duty steel with gold anodizing offering a 50 mm hex for the fork cap at one end and a pin spanner at the other for easy access to the inner chamber, Hilton explained. He added, “The Fork Rebound Piston Ring Compression Tool (TFPC 2328) allows quick, easy insertion of the rebound piston ring into the cartridge tool without damage during assembly.” The TFCW 50H retails for $44.99 and the TFPC 2328 retails for $12.99, Hilton concluded.

TOUR MASTER SYNERGY GARMENT LINE

Helmet House National Marketing Manager Richard Kimes told us the company has launched its new Tour Master Synergy line of garment liners and gloves. The Synergy electrically heated collared vest liner, the Synergy electrically heated vest liner and the Synergy electrically heated jacket liner all feature a comfortable rip stop nylon shell with a soft taffeta lining and come with 100gm Polyfill insulation to increase warmth and heat retention, Kimes explained, adding, the lightweight and flexible carbon fiber heating elements provide consistent, even heat and the solid state electronically controlled thermostat easily and accurately adjusts through three temperature levels. “They are designed to be worn individually or connected to other Synergy garments and are machine washable,” he said. The Synergy electrically heated glove comes with a soft Bemberg interior lining and is made of grade A, Aniline drum-dyed goatskin leather with a Rainguard waterproof and breathable barrier, Kimes described. The Synergy electrically heated pant liner features an easy on/off chap style design, plus it comes with hook and loop adjustment leg panels to allow for a snug and comfortable fit, he added. These Synergy garment liners and gloves reportedly are available in black, in sizes XS-4XL.

MICHELIN PILOT ROAD 2 TIRES

Michelin announced the release of its new Pilot Road 2 front and rear tires, designed to be capable of reconciling the differences between grip and durability, safety and wear-resistance. “This exclusive technology provides Michelin Pilot Road 2 tires with a formidable combination of tire performance characteristics,” described the company. “The softer rubber compound on the shoulders delivers exceptional grip and quick tire warm-up,” they explained, adding, “The more resistant compound on the tread center offers outstanding longevity.” These different rubber compounds have reportedly been positioned to achieve maximum tire performance. “The front tire has a new sport profile to enhance sport touring motorcycle handling and promote livelier performance, offering both responsiveness and optimal stability for leaning and cornering,” Michelin tells us.

WIKI WAVE HELMET

Wiki President Steve Reed announced the release of its new Wave helmet, which features a fiberglass/carbon fiber shell, Coolmax removable/washable liner and a photochromatic shield. The helmet is reportedly DOT and ECE certified and is said to weigh only 3 lbs. The Wave helmet is available in black (MSRP: $269.95) or with Aloha graphic (MSRP: $299.95) and prices include the WikiShift dark smoke photochromatic shield, explained Reed.
